Top Law Schools

Without going into too much detail, my undergraduate career hasn't been an easy one. I will be graduating from a university that I recently transferred to, but I feel like I haven't been there long enough to build any strong relationships with professors. At my school, students are often very close with their professors, but tend to build that relationship during their freshman year based on the academic advising model that we use. I'm very involved, and have held a substantial internship, but I am unsure of who should write my LOR's.

Would it be acceptable to have one academic LOR (from the one professor I've connected with) and one professional LOR, even though I don't have significant work experience by traditional standards?

Unfortunately, no. It was a very large school and toward the end of my time there I was taking only online courses, while working. It's been 3-4 years since I've spoken with anyone who would have even been a potential rec.

Another option, would it hurt me terribly to apply later this cycle in December, if it meant I could get a LOR from one of this coming semester's professors? I'm taking one course from a prof that I've had before, but I could make more of an effort this time around (office hours, etc).
