I got a 175 on my lsat and my GPA is a 3.4. I am an economics major, political science minor at GWU. What are my chances at a top 5? I am willing to apply ED if that will help my chances.

but "top 5" is a meaningless distinction.

So much NYU hate this year. It's like the GULC of the T6 or something.

I think you can. I'm not just saying that, I think the odds are in your favor if you get everything in early.

Yes, you can.
Source: I got into CLS with a 3.41 (though 3.75 my last two years of undergrad) and 173 LSAT

Though for "biglawl or bust" people T5 is real.

I think you can. With that said I think you are better off applying broadly and then taking a scholarship to a lower T14. Schools like Northwestern have been known to give out about half scholarships to applicants like you to help their LSAT medians.

A "biglawl or bust" T5 would more realistically be HYSCP, in that case. I mean does OP even placement data.

ED Northwestern! It's a great school with great placement, and the ED option comes with a substantial scholly, and I'm pretty sure you're LSAT makes you a good candidate.

NU is generally not giving out full scholarships to chase people with below-median GPAs. The primary purpose of the ED full ride is to poach T6 admits who didn't/wouldn't get offered much money.
NU would probably offer OP $90K, which would make it a smarter choice than prestige-whoring for a school in a nonexistent category ("T5").
