Unless you´re a captain or All-American, I can´t imagine it helps at all. If you´re one or both of those things, I´ll bet it helps a very, very tiny amount. Being a D3 athlete in itself is not impressive.

Had both (D1), think it had zero impact on cycle.

No. I've found it to be occasionally useful to talk about during interviews though. Also, if you travel a lot, you will always have something to say when they ask "why (*insert this part of the country*)?"

No one cares about DIII athletics. And you're jumping the gun hardcore with all these questions when you're still in college. Your sole focus should be getting a GPA and LSAT that don't need made up for.

D1 All-American here which is what I talked about in my PS. Cycle turned out as expected, don't think it had much, if any, impact at all.

Think about it: is it reportable to US News rankings in the way it would increase their standing and/or help them (law schools) to make more money? If not, why would they care?
