LSDAS GPA Calculation for a W?

Hey all. I just finished my junior year at UW Seattle and am applying to schools in September. I've heard a little about the LSDAS GPA conversion, but want to settle a potential issue once and for all. I was in the marching band my freshman year and forgot I had to register for it as a class (freshman problems).
Anyway, I registered for it Week 3 to find that it put me over the credit limit; marching band was 2 credits and I only had space for 1. I talked to the counselors who told me to drop that class and replace it with a placeholder that was worth 1 credit. I did so, and got a grade for it at the end of the quarter. However, that original marching band class has a W3 next to it on my transcript all these years later.
Is there a chance I could get a zero for this come conversion time? My initial thought is no, seeing as I dropped the course long before I could even have the CHANCE to fail it. This wouldn't count as a punitive drop, right? Seems like a technicality that shouldn't result in me having my GPA marred. That being said, please let me know your thoughts and assuage my worries! Thank you very much.
