POW Boost

In 2004 I was a POW under Abdul Rahman Zahed in Doha Qatar and was rescued by SF in about 3 months time. I have since withdrawn from the military and, after having sought a B.S. in IFP, l am about to start applying to law school. I received a 158 on the LSAT and have 3 + Grade average. I'm wondering if I will get any substantial boost for being a POW and if there is a way I can attempt to use it beyond just a personal statement?

It's a soft that should be molded into your PS.

Stay in foreign policy where your POW experience might be useful.

The governmental jobs I'm aspiring to are highly favorable of a JD. But I will definitely use it as my personal statement, but I'm wondering if I can milk it elsewhere in the application?

the personal statement is where you would milk it.

How hard did you study the LSAT? Do you think you can raise your score?

The boost depends on how prestigious your captors were.

Since Abdul Rahman Zahed is a Taliban foreign minister, very prestigious.

You should edit the specifics out of your post. I doubt many applicants to schools were PoWs under this specific captor.

Unfortunately I don't think it will help you for admissions, that is a pure numbers game.

Thanks for your service.

Back to being serious.

I think it's actually pretty damn interesting and extremely unique. If he can up his LSAT, I think he could well out perform.
