Is it okay to fax files in rather than E-mail? Will some schools get pissed?

disclaimer: 0L

but can't you mention that in the LOCI? as an update of your activities? I thought that was more standard.

My thought would be, if they want to read them, they can then look them up as they have your name.

But since apps never request writing samples it seems like it would be a bit out of place.

Pretty much what I was thinking.

Do we seriously have a "top 5" ranking of newspapers?

You could include URL links to your articles in your LOCI.

I just meant by circulation... not like a USNWR ranking.

Multiple op/eds in top 5 or so papers is quite impressive. I would send a letter explaining that you've been published (including where, with links). I would take the opportunity to say (quickly) how this connects to your career interests. I would then also attach the op/eds in one PDF. Why make it more difficult on them? If they don't want to read it, they can ignore it. Don't make the decision for them.
