LOCI Heading

Is it necessary/a good idea to use this heading (or one similar to it, or any heading at all) for an LOCI by email? I want to cap it a page but this long heading takes up too much space
Eager Applicant
Street
City, State, Zip
LSAC#: L12345678

Month, Day, Year

Desirable School of Law
Street
City, State, Zip
For the normal letter I get it, but for email it seems kinda outdated and just takes up space.

The alternative would be to begin with "Dear members of the admissions committee..." and to put my name/lsac number in the signature. I don't think listing either my address or the school's address is needed.

This is why I attached a document to my email.

I'm also attaching it as a document. Although I think I now see the point you're making.

But you're suggesting its still the norm to include the heading?

My guess is that it's the norm, but I doubt it's required. I structured my LOCI more like a supplemental essay than an actual letter, so I didn't include such a heading.
