Dean's Certification Waiver?

Columbia requires submission of a Dean's Certification. On the form, it has a box to waive the matriculant's right to see the form. It says this waiver is optional and will not affect matriculation.
Is there any reason I should sign this? I am conjuring weird situations in my head where they mistakenly say something negative about me and it hurts me because I never see ti to correct it. I have nothing I am worried about to be disclosed, but I am wondering if there is any point in signing the waiver.
