Negotiating with Northwestern

I'm most likely planning on accepting Northwestern's offer next Friday. They are offering me 60k over 3 years. However, I wanted to know anyone's experiences with negotiating aid with them. I don't have much in the way of using other scholarships to negotiate. I got accepted to GW which is giving me the same package (60k over 3 years) NU. Any other scholarships I got came from schools under top 25. How can I go about asking them for more money without these bargaining tools?

I don't think so. BUT, what you can do is use the NU Scholly to ask GW to give you more, then if they do you can use the new and improved GW Scholly to try and negotiate with NU. They still likely won't budge because GW is not in the same stratosphere, so likely you are taking 60k and being glad with it.
Also, even with absolutely no bargaining chip you can still ask for more. Obviously it is an incredibly low success rate but there's no downside other than going through the motion and feeling bad about yourself when they say no.

I had 60K at NU. Showed them 90K offer from Cornell and Duke. Bumped me up to 69K (lulz)

Interesting that they think that highly of themselves over those schools, especially considering NU's COL compared to Durham. Makes me think they will not care about Duke's (slightly lower, but hopefully matched soon) offer.

People with prestigious work experience need less money IMO

No, UT. I decided to Johann the entire T14.
Ok, sorry to derail your thread OP. My main point was to not expect much from them but if you're sincere in your desire to attend you might get a bit of a bump.
