Has anyone negotiated with Cardozo? I've gotten full rides from comparable schools but they've only upped by $8K, how can I go about negotiating for more?
Please share your thoughts below!

You guys have no idea how insanely irritating this is to a lot of folks who come in here (and never come back). I met a guy the other day who said, "don't even bother going into TLS, no matter what you post, the answer will be the same: retake". It's a running joke, but not a funny one.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's usually the right advice, but you guys use it like you're spraying for ants. Give it a rest and have something insightful to add to it. Just a thought.

When you have multiple people you know who graduated from decent schools with 250k in debt and are driving UPS trucks or working retail then you will understand. TLS says RETAKE often because it is going to be easier for you to simply improve the LSAT a few points then work your ass off for 3 years to secure a job. It is different if you took it three times and did everything you could over an extended period of time (maybe you did, who knows right?). However, retake is often a very credited response in many situations.
EDIT: and by the way, if its "irritating" - that's fine. It is often people who are "irritated" by this that are not in touch with the way the world works. People are so impatient and unwilling to work. However, that is a different topic for a different day.

Understood, but then the answer should not only be clarified, but also include some questions. I mean, you don't know this guy. Maybe his circumstances require him to attend this particular school. I'm just saying, the answer has become so incredibly tired that people don't even inquire why the OP wants to attend this particular school in the first place. We all have different circumstances.

If you want insight into Cardozo in particular, go to the LS A/D/W subforum.
No one will shun you in this thread

Indeed, Rad.
Particularly when OP wants NYC. Why would they be "required" to attend Cardozo? If NYU isnt a reasonable goal upon retake, Fordham certainly is. Getting a big scholly from Fordham would help tons at Cardozo. So would a higher scoar.
OP, they didn't match those schools because they weren't impressed by them or didnt seriously think you'd go there. If you're out of retakes, there probably aren't a magic set of words that will help. If you aren't out of retakes, that's how you'll get more money.

A big scholarship from Fordham is a virtual impossibility. I've never heard of Fordham offering more than 10 or 15k a year. Although Fordham definitely can definitely open some doors, I would advise against going there (this is coming from somebody who originally wanted to go there before doing research).
The answer is most likely retake for somebody who is considering going to Cardozo (unless you've already retaken). You owe it to yourself to give it another shot. Even a couple point increase could mean admission to a better school/better scholarship offers.
