Having a lot of Ws on the transcript......

So far I have six Ws on my transcript and I am thinking of adding just one more which adds up to seven in total.
Five Ws come from last year when I had to withdraw from the entire semester due to medical/personal reasons.....
One is from a one-credit class which I had to withdraw because the classroom was too far away from the class I had before that. (I withdrew a day after the end of the add/drop deadline)
I do not know what grade I will end up with if I do not withdraw from this last one.
I also took two pass/fail classes...
Other than that my cumulative GPA is above 3.9 and I think my LSAT score will be pretty good too.
Do I still have a chance to HYS??
How would seven Ws affect my admissions?
Should add another W to six Ws I already have or just stick with it and see how it goes?

What if I don't get 180?

"Withdrawals are a tricky beast; however, most of the time they won’t count towards your LSAC GPA. The only time that LSAC considers a W is if it was issues in a punitive manner (the image of a dean punishing someone with a W makes me laugh, honestly, but it’s serious business). Even if that W is a non-punitive reflection of failure, the LSAC won’t calculate it. All of the Ws will, however, appear on your transcript sent to law schools, so if you have more than one, I would write an explanatory essay for it (and even one might call for it)."

I don't think Ws are usually a big deal, but 5 in one year may stand out. It seems like you have a legitimate excuse for them though, and you could explain that in an addendum.

Hey man, I just read this post.
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I have 7 w's (for an explainable medical reason) and I am gunning for HYS.
What are your plans? Did you end up applying? Are you still going to apply?
