It's just the thread discussion not the survey that made me feel old. Looking at the numbers makes me feel more at ease.Bajam wrote:Lol uhh...how did it make you feel old when 70+% are 23 and older?amw5471 wrote:I'm 23 and will still be 23 when I start in the fall. 29 now. 30 when I start. The only thing I regret is that I now at 29 I have real bills and trying to balance those while in law school might not be a easiest thing

Yes, this. I'll be 29 when I start and I'll be trying to sell a house in a depressed market over a thousand miles away from where I will be attending school. Wish me luck! I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford to pay a rent and a mortgage on a law student's salary.kandi007 wrote:29 now. 30 when I start. I graduated last year at 20 also. Its kinda weird to turn 21 after college...made me feel like I was such a baby compared to all my friends.Carabear wrote:I am 20, wont be legal to go on the senior bar crawl after graduation :/

I started school early as well, however everything since then has been behind schedule.phillywc wrote:I started school early and skipped a grade. I spent 4 years in ug.drawstring wrote:How are people graduating so early? Heavy course load?

Took around 18 credits a semester, finished ug in 3 years. Also started ug when I was 17 right after graduating hs in June 2011.drawstring wrote:How are people graduating so early? Heavy course load?

Same here. People in their mid-20s saying "I feel so old!" need to cut it out. Life doesn't end at 29.burner wrote:30 now, 31 when I start.

Currently 22, I've been feeling old and telling the freshmen and sophomores to "Enjoy (name of college)."kartelite wrote:Same here. People in their mid-20s saying "I feel so old!" need to cut it out. Life doesn't end at 29.
Will be in their place as the young'un when I attend law school in the fall.

24 now, 27 when I graduate. Seems to be around median. I felt young when I visited T14 and old when I visited state flagship.

Same age, and I felt right at median everywhere except when I looked into a a part-time program briefly. Then I felt pretty young...SplitMyPants wrote:24 now, 27 when I graduate. Seems to be around median. I felt young when I visited T14 and old when I visited state flagship.
I don't buy into the idea that there's some huge difference between being 21 and 24, especially if you're a college grad and have been living away from home/working summers etc. I personally wouldn't have wanted to start law school at 20, I'm enjoying my job and having some time away from school. Still, I just can't see it being some big disadvantage to start in your early twenties vs. mid twenties.

33 now and when I start, so 36 at graduation. I see I'm not the oldest based on the poll!
