Re: U of SC?
It's strictly regional. The vast majority stay in state if they pass the bar. I say "if" because only about half do on their first time taking it. Maybe 5%-10% go to NC or GA, but that's the extent of it. If you live in SC it might be worth it if you wish to stay in state and not make a ton of money, but if you don't want that I advise against it.

Pretty much spot on, though the 50% bar pass rate is a bit low. ~82% pass rate in July 2013 for USC grads.xmking07 wrote:It's strictly regional. The vast majority stay in state if they pass the bar. Re: U of SC?
Mine is probably outdated then. I base that off of a bulletin board posting at my university with the Charleston law and SC law bar passage rates, which according to that were 45% and 55% respectively. I went to a small regional in SC that sends most of its law school hopefuls aiming at SC law so I have had info about it thrown at me fairly often.morrissey wrote:Pretty much spot on, though the 50% bar pass rate is a bit low. ~82% pass rate in July 2013 for USC grads.xmking07 wrote:It's strictly regional. Pretty marketable if you want to want to live in South Carolina forever. Not marketable at all outside the immediate region (the bordering states have their own schools that dominate the respective states).
