I agree with this, good luck!ArtistOfManliness wrote:You might want to try to couch it in some other story... maybe like, while visiting my BF at stanford med, I was fortunate enough to meet with SLS students and profs...
So yeah, I'm a fan of telling them, but only if you can do it in a way that isn't just, "I love stanford b/c my bf goes here."
There's no time to waste in popping the question then!Cicero76 wrote:If he were your husband or fiancé, it would be good material for a LOCI
Yeah, unfortunately it's not going to be as compelling since he's your boyfriend, even though you've been together for a long time. My two cents: if I were you, I wouldn't mention it. Stanford is so competitive that having a boyfriend who goes there isn't really going to help your case, and using that as a reason why you should be admitted could even sound a little juvenile.Cicero76 wrote:If he were your husband or fiancé, it would be good material for a LOCI
Or just lie and overstate the commitment.physicsguy wrote:There's no time to waste in popping the question then!Cicero76 wrote:If he were your husband or fiancé, it would be good material for a LOCI
