When I applied to UG in 2004, there were no status trackers. You simply applied and one day in the mail you got your acceptance/ rejection letter.

I think the trackers make the process so much more stressful. Now that my file is "under review" at multiple schools every time i get an email on my phone my heart skips a beat. I also check each tracker 2x a day to see any movement, it is so much harder to let go when you know the decision can arrive at any moment

Sorry, that's the only thing I really go grammar Nazi about. I kind of understand where you're coming from since we all take valuable time out of our days to see that we still have all of the same statuses. Personally, it's really only helped with 2 schools and there have been days where I leaned on the refresh key when I really didn't have to.
