I'm sorry but can you even submit with only 1 LOR on file? I ask because most schools require atleast 2 LORs. I'd submit it now if you can, better early than later.

I was the one who asked Karen and Mike that. I submitted without the final LoR uploaded. Basically LSAC just waits for your letter to get uploaded before it even sends the report to the school. So if you (like me) have your apps 100% done and just want it to be ready the second LSAC processes your letter, then go ahead and submit them. Your application won't go complete anywhere because the CAS report will wait for 2 letters to attach. I don't know if it actually makes anything quicker but it gave me peace of mind knowing everything was ready to go.

The only exception to what I said is Berkeley (at least out of the schools I applied to). They do not "require" 2 LoRs and, thus, your application will go complete if you submit before the letters are uploaded. Berkeley definitely wants/needs 2 LoRs so if they are on your list of schools hold off submitting their application until your second one is processed.

GULC, GW, and UMich also only "require" one LOR, I believe...

Yeah to clear things up I sent my app to NYU and Mich which both only require one. When my second uploaded they sent automatically to both schools as a file update.

Berkeley, however, explicitly states that they strongly prefer two letter of rec but they won't wait to review your file if the letters are not there. Therefore, it's probably better to submit once that letter is uploaded so they don't look at it as "he/she couldn't get two letters" when their website repeatedly mentions how they want at least two. That was my take on it.

drevo is right - for schools that require more than one recommendation, your LSAC report won't generate until that second letter comes in, so just submit whenever you're done your part of the application.
