I have been getting a lot of unsolicited app fee waivers recently, is there any indication that these schools are offering fee waivers because they think you are an attractive applicant? Is there any correlation?

or is it just random? (if you took the DEC LSAT for example)

Within similar LSAT/GPA ranges, it seems fairly random. I've gotten fee waivers from T14 schools that people with better numbers have not gotten, and vice-versa.

Most schools send them based on LSAT scores, and some are much more liberal with them than others.

Make sure you also ask about waivers for veterans.

He doesn't say it the nicest way, and they do end up admitting some students below both medians if they have incredible stories or whatever, but schools are ranked partially based on what percentage of students they accept. If you think you'd really like to go, throw an app, it can't hurt.

That or retake the LSAT.

Makes sense. So they get as many people to apply as possible, deny as many as they can and use the deny % to boost their "exclusivity".

I've had good luck simply emailing admissions offices and asking (I didn't sign up for CRS) politely with my LSAT/GPA. The worst they can do is tell you "no," right? I've had about a 2/3 success rate thus far.

Is there no relationship between unsolicited waivers and successful requests?

Also, I am tipsy. Just being honest. Hence my midnight TLS posting!
