Is intended area of study considered in admission decisions?

If, for example, I wanted to study environmental law at a school that only had a small percentage of applicants applying for that concentration, would it help me?

probably a slight boost for having a coherent story and seeming more motivated. Add half a point to your LSAT. Then round down.
