What has been the biggest class size reduction in the T-20? My understanding is that last cycle saw some serious downsizing due to a less competitive applicant pool.

Were you PTing where you scored? Did you exhaust all of the TLS recommended prep material? You may want to take it a third time in June while applying this cycle. A lot of schools (including Penn) will consider June LSAT scores for merit scholarships and if you have a big enough boost, you can just reapply to YHS next year.

You'll probably have a pretty good cycle with your current numbers. Penn and UVA will absolutely love you and you could probably snag 2/3 CCN schools. Stanford is also a possibility and I would shoot out an application to Harvard if I were you. Unless you have some really awesome experience that makes you different, I would suggest the Why X statements over the diversity statement.

As far as what gets one reverse splitter in over the other, there's really no hierarchy that I know of for what comes after LSAT/GPA/URM status. Softs definitely matter more for reverse splitters, but I think that any soft can help, especially work experience, leadership, and your personal statement.

Also, what do you want to do with your law degree? That will help others give you better advice.

The most helpful thing you can do for your application is to retake in February. I would do that if you want HYS.

How did you exhaust all pt material if you only took 4 PTs? You would really benefit from a retake. Even if you just take one pt a week you will see improvement. Take one in your home, take one outside, take one in a food court, take one in a coffee shop. I think the varied environments will really help your score reflect your practice. And take five sections if you're scoring poorly on the last section. I was doing terrible on m first section so I started warming up with one lg and four lr. I saw a +2 improvement. Use 7sage's free scorer to pinpoint what your missing.

Literally two more points and your numbers are as set as they can be ( LSAT median). Don't cheat yourself of four years of good undergrad work. Retake

Yes, muscle up and take in February. Get the 10 More books and do about 1 PT per day and add in an experimental section to get your stamina up. If you're PTing in the mid 170s, it doesn't matter that you've seen some questions before. I was averaging the same as you when I got my 170 last June and then I took in October with about 3 weeks of studying and got up to 175. It's definitely possible and you will still have a good chance at YS because your GPA is high enough for them to potentially ignore your first 2 LSAT scores.

You used at least six of PTs 60-70 for drilling rather than full, timed tests? I didn't use Manhattan so I don't know if they tell you to do that, but if they do they're wrong. Four full PTs is entirely too few. Stamina definitely seems like the issue here and you need to consider taking a cycle off and retaking once you work on your test-taking ability. Time management and mental stamina are an artificial difficulty of the LSAT but difficulties nonetheless and you sell yourself and your GPA short with that LSAT score.

Definitely agree with a lot of this, but I still think you should shoot out some apps this cycle and see what happens. With your goals (I'm assuming Biglaw from past posts) you might get a good deal from a T14.
