I would rather not post specifics so I don't out myself, but it was a family emergency that was pretty traumatizing. Sorry for being overly cautious!

That can be an effective addendum, depending on the specifics. And I know these things can linger.
That said, an addendum for 2 years (that doesn't involve fighting cancer, or something similar) probably won't help much. Especially since you've already submitted, I would probably skip it.
