If I was an adcomm and my app said "Don't tell me about your traffic tickets, I don't care" I would not be impressed by the people who told me about their traffic tickets.

Go by what each school tells you to do. It shows that you are taking their application seriously (and that you think their school is worth the specific effort) and not just creating one generic app to throw at everyone.

Obviously, different schools have different wording for what disciplinary information from your past they want disclosed. For example, some make it explicit they want to hear about expunged items while some do not.

Am I correct in assuming then that what you may be required to disclose to some schools you would not automatically disclose to another school? Is it okay that I am not consistent in mentioning past disciplinary actions given that some schools are not requesting disclosure of expunged instances of misconduct. Or should I disclose the same information to all schools regardless of the language in order to "err on the side of disclosure?"
Err on the side of disclosure, but don't overdisclose. If some schools ask for more info than others, send them more and the others less.

The issue comes up if you lie or mislead the schools - if you don't provide them info they don't ask for, it's not a problem.
