Is applying to mvp (especially p) by today or tomorrow considered late, or hurt one's chances? Any idea for how long it takes for them to actually get to it and when I might get a decision? One month? Two months?

Not late at all. Berkeley is really the only school where mid-December is on the late side.

Not late. Go take a look at the spreadsheets stickied in there admissions forum for an idea on timing averages.

Wow ok it has been a hard 10 days and I will be ready to hit submit by tonight ughhh...is applying by December 20 considered late or hurt people at MVP+DUKE?
When DOES it become late wtf...I see people in threads saying that December takers should wait to apply next cycle. Aren't december scores about to come out soon? Am I being paranoid? It just feels so late to be hitting send now...

December takers waiting until next cycle definitely isn't standard advice. And you're still a few weeks before the December scores come out.
It's late. But not late enough that you should wait a year.
