I know that most of them will snail mail acceptance letters, but will they email you decisions as well?

I'm expecting a response from my ED school around the mid-December, but I won't be at my primary address because I'm going back home with my folks for the holiday. I'm wondering if I'll still know the decision via email or if I'll have to wait until after the holiday to retrieve my mail. Thanks in advance!

Sometimes, so far I'm 1-1 on email acceptances. You can always have your mail forwarded for a short time.

Most will call or snail mail. EDs tend to get a call, at least in the T14.

That's Interesting I didn't know that. The call is only for an acceptance I'm guessing?

Right. Basically, if you're ED, you should check the relevant school's decision thread on here, e.g. "Columbia c/o 2017." That way you'll know when acceptances have started going out. If you don't hear when others hear or after the decision deadline has passed for ED passed, you're probably not accepted.

This is overly pessimistic. Many schools send out decisions in waves, even for ED.

How did that username go unregistered until last month

Would be kinda awkward if they called to inform you that you have been rejected. Thank you for applying, do so again next year please.

ED'd at a T14, international student. Now I'm worried...they probably won't call in the middle of the night and snail mail would take a while so I'm not sure how they would inform me of a decision. They don't send emails out? Considering I got my LSAT score in a one line email...

I kind of assumed your status checker would update with "admitted" or "denied"...that's how most schools did it for Ugrad...do they do this in law school?

Also, is it normal for them to just not tell you you've been rejected? That seems kind of odd...also I wanted to frame my Harvard rejection letter so I guess that's out.

They will get to you one way or another, just relax.
If they know you're an international applicant I can almost guarantee you will be contacted via e-mail.

Every school will notify you of a decision. They tend to not send rejections until later in the cycle. It's November, they won't reject unless the applicant has negative chance of getting in.
