Every time I upload my resume to an application the formatting gets all messed up in the "preview application." The spacing gets all weird and things that should be on one line get pushed onto two so it looks like a mess. I've tried changing the margins and font size, but nothing is helping.


Does anyone have any advice?

Try clicking the buttons at the bottom of the preview to download or view the preview as a PDF. When I do that mine appears fine, and I'm told this is how schools will see it.

save your document as .doc, not .docx
