LOR Question- getting 3 recs but submitting 2

Post by taylorswiftfan » Sun Nov 17, 2013 7:40 pm

I'm in the process of asking for LORs. In an ideal world, if all three I ask end up saying yes and they all submit, could I choose to only send two to a school via LSAC? It's more of a technical question-- but I'm just wondering how submitting LORS work. Professors don't submit LORS directly to the schools, so I would be able to choose which LOR I wish to submit to a school via the LSAC site right? I'm assuming this applies to all schools? Do recommenders submit to LSAC and then I use a drop down menu to select which letter I wish to submit to which school?

I was trying to go on the LSAC website to see how that works, but I'm still in the process of asking profs for LORS so I wanted to ask here.

I'm nervous one of my recommenders won't get a recommendation to me in time so I figured I'd ask three in case one can't write it in time/ doesn't make deadline.

Yes, you get to choose which letters to assign to each school.
