If I apply soon and re-take the lsat in february, will this count for admissions purposes?

It varies by school, but I think most schools will accept a February score. Check with the admissions office.

Actually, I should amend my earlier statement to say "some schools" will accept a February score, not "most." I think December is actually your last shot during a given cycle for most schools. But again, check with your target school's admissions office, if it's not stated on the website.
