For which schools is it important to apply early?

Post by TheRealJoshuaLyman » Sun Oct 27, 2013 1:11 pm

Hi all,

I'm sure that there is a question like this somewhere else on TLS, but I couldn't find it through the search. I am currently waiting for my October LSAT score, and am in the process of finishing up my applications. Because of money I am going to be sending out my applications in waves, and they will hopefully all be in by the middle of November. I am going to be sending out the apps as money comes in over the next couple of weeks, so I was wondering for what schools it is important to apply that earliest possible date. Will it be a huge difference to apply this week after the score comes out as opposed to the middle of November?

Thanks! (I'm sorry as I'm sure this has been asked elsewhere. If someone has the link to an answer for this somewhere else I would love it as well).

The difference between a couple of weeks in November doesn't matter.

But here's some info to answer your question: http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot. ... s.html?m=1

Check out this blog by a TLSer: http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot. ... ofile.html

He answers your question for some of the T-14 schools.

Having a bit of trouble understanding this. Actually, I'm having a lot of trouble. How does a single percentage score tell us the likelihood of admission for multiple months?

It's the boost you get for applying each month earlier.
Here's one example: http://admissionsbythenumbers.blogspot. ... t.html?m=1
The blogger's TLS handle is elterrible78, and I'm sure he'd be happy to answer questions about it.
