Dating LORs

I graduated from undergrad in May and I'm planning to apply next cycle. However, I want to make sure that I get my LORs written sooner rather than later so they can be written with a fresh memory of me and in case I have a last minute change of heart and apply this cycle.
I am concerned it might look strange to have a letter dated Sep 2013 for the Sep 2014 cycle. Should I ask writers to leave the LORs undated to avoid this? I would like to hear people's thoughts.

My guess is it doesn't matter.

I was really hoping this thread was about dating the people who write your letters of rec.

It doesn't matter, shows you had some forethought before you left school.

I similarly hoped it was about requiring LORs before dates.

I had assumed (incorrectly) that I would be applying this current cycle, and asked for letters in like June, so had my 4 letter writers put some date closer to the cycle, like Nov/Dec/Jan next year. Now that i am not applying on this cycle or the next one (but the following one) I've learned that it really doesn't matter unless it's a significant gap in years (I've been told 5 or more).
