Professor who's writing me a LOR wants a Personal Statement?
One of the professors who's willing to write me a LOR wants a "personal statement" from me so he can hone and personalize my letter. He had me in his summer class, I saw him every day, and he really got to see my work ethic in a way I think teachers in a large class don't. So, he's writing me a letter (words cannot express how grateful I am for him, not only was he the BEST teacher I've ever had in undergrad, but the fact he's writing me one makes me very happy), but what do I put in this personal statement for him? I figure it's good practice for all the PS I'll have to put on applications, but I need some advice on how to get started. I've overhauled my Curriculum Vitae and it's updated and ready to go, but I'm lost about what exactly to put on the PS. Advice?

I had a professor ask for this. I gave her a brief "why law" statement, which seemed to suffice.
ETA: As for the broader PS questions, peruse the personal statement sections and forums on the site.
