Re: Toby Stock call
What do you suppose are the chances that TS is now making the TS1 to decide whether to reject you or put you on the waitlist?! JUST got the TS1 email... um wow.

I doubt this is a reject/waitlist call. More likely it is an accept/waitlist call. Best of luck!

Re: Toby Stock call
I sent my app through LSAC on 1/03. Went complete first week of Feb according the status checker but didn't get the complete email until 02/07/08. Was deferred 02/11/08.
Sent in an additional LOR within about a week of deferral... They never acknowledged it so maybe it was never sent, lol. No idea, I stopped paying attention as strange as that may sound.

Thanks for the info. When is your call or did you already have it?

No idea. He was super vague and specifically said that he would be unable to give me a specific time other than within the next few days (while I'm at another man's ASW... so scandalous). I told him that whatever works for him, works for me.

I will give you $100 if you put him on the phone with Craig Janecek and record the conversation.kiskadee321 wrote:No idea. Edit: let's make that any Yale adcomm. And TallisUmbras from LSD had his call today. Wonder why he didn't call you yet.

Hahaha that would be awesome... I'd never do it. Too afraid they wouldn't think it was funny. (read: rescind both offers and call my only remaining option and tell them to rescind it as well.)Ben Matlock wrote:I will give you $100 if you put him on the phone with Craig Janecek and record the conversation.kiskadee321 wrote:No idea. Just got the Harvard denial e-mail. Took 4 months for them to make the decision, so I guess I can be happy about that. The e-mail as opposed to snail mail still cheapens the whole deal a little more.

I would agree on UVA. Don't give up hope on HLS just yet though.

Tough break wesley. As for your current situation, I'd choose UVA. Best of luck!

Ok after a weekend's worth of phone tag finally TS1 was today. I think it went fine. I wasn't nervous. Probably because I have no reason to be at this point. He sounded nice enough though.

Ok, so I decided to w/d before I got a response. Thanks for all of the well wishes guys. At this point, there was no way things could be worked out before I had to commit to my other top choice and quite frankly, I really really already loved my top choice. Maybe my w/d will help someone else out.
Best of luck to all!!

Congrats for being happy enough to WD from HLS. May I ask where you are planning to go?

I am really pleased to say that I'll be at YLS. Feeling unworthy and super grateful. HLS would be amazing but I definitely felt like I fit in at YLS and there's not much reason to look elsewhere.
