Evaluators

Post by gobosox » Sat Sep 07, 2013 9:58 pm

I want to register my professor as a recommender so he can post his recommendation online, but it gives me the option to do recommender, evaluator, or both.

I know the general consensus is that evaluations are meaningless, and none of the schools that have posted their applications so far require them.

However, I have 4 schools (Harvard, Fordham, Georgetown, BC) who have not posted their applications yet, so I'm not 100% sure if they require an evaluation or not. So my question is:

1) Once you designate someone as a "recommender only" can you later change it to make them an evaluator?

and

2) Does anyone know from past experience if those 4 schools have a requirement for an evaluator?

I don't believe so.
