Audit on my transcript..Would that be okay?

Post by Blueberrypie » Thu Aug 29, 2013 12:03 pm

So here is the thing. I found out that I don't need to take 2 classes that I'm basically done with my requirements. I want to drop two classes. This will give me the room to study and write my personal statement for LSAT and law school application. It also gives me time to volunteer at the soup kitchen not to far from campus. I love doing that. :) although there is the one course that I love and the professor is amazing. I want to stay in the class and learn and participate in discussion. Therefore, my best bet would be to audit it. For those that don't know, it means to take the course without doing the extra work like papers and test. I wouldn't get credit, but I would be taking it just to learn. I would do the readings. On my transcript just a V would show up. My question is would this look bad or be frowned upon my the admission committee?

It won't affect your final GPA, it won't matter

I had a few audits on my transcript. It didn't matter at all.
