6 transcripts--should I write addendum?

Post by fallingup77 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 9:52 pm

So, I have transcripts from 6 different schools on my account. Should I write an addendum about this? Here is the rundown:
1. I have dual credit from high school from one junior college.
2 and 3. I grew up in a military family, so I graduated from a high school in a town I had only lived in for 2 years. After graduation, I moved back to a town where I had a lot of friends and took courses at one juco fall semester and another juco spring semester in the same town.
4. the university at which i finished my bachelor's degree. (spent 2.5 years there)
5. a class i was enrolled in at my degree granting school was cancelled and i needed it my last semester and had to take it via correspondence course at a completely different school. so i have 3 credits from another random university.
6. i finished a graduate degree from another university.

All of my grades are good (3.86 overall gap) and all of the junior college credits are over 10 years old (i'm almost 30).
Does any of this warrant an explanation, or should I just leave it alone?

Any advice appreciated!

Leave it.

I'm over 30, I had I think 5 schools on mine, my cycle went as my numbers would predict with a few oddities (but I think that was based on the potential cross-country move and my being a single parent, nothing to do with my transcripts.)

If you were younger and had hopped from school to school in a short time period, some explaining might be in order but I don't think that's the case. They care about your cumulative GPA. The one they report. ;)

You're fine. Definitely not bizarre enough to warrant an addendum or have any effect whatsoever on your cycle.

I do not think that you have much to worry about. You have a great GPA and six transcripts is not all that odd.

I have submitted transcripts from a dozen schools (11 undergrad, 1 grad).

It's fine to go either way on this. I might recommend including one just so it's easier to parse your academic history for anyone who's looking over your transcript, but, as others have said, they're going to care mostly about the overall GPA.

If you do decide to write one, it should be short.
