They didn't check up on me, as far as I know. I didn't use the lukewarm LOR from my internship either.

A LOT of people apply to HYS. Adcomms don't have time to call up people who've agreed to write you letters, let alone random former employers. Nor do they have time to verify your employment.

Just call the admissions office and ask if you are really worried.

The answer is no. They get thousands of applications. They're not going to call anyone. Believe the answer you're given or continue to be neurotic about every little stupid thing, either is fine I guess.

No. LOR's hardly matter. Some schools don't even require them anymore. And they will not call to confirm. If they did, some schools have an outside agency do this, and they would only confirm if you worked there. The person confirming would be in HR, not your supervisor. This is just stupid. Stop worrying.

I have never even heard of any school calling references. Ever. In my ~6 years on TLS.

I worked in a small office where my supervisor did all the intern hiring.

And we're talking about HYS. I know most schools don't even bother with LORs

I think the bottom-line is that we are all law students or former professionals, who know that your post is absurd and stupid. Consequently, you should stop worrying as the people at any law school will certainly not care about your internship.

I'm going to break with majority and say that you should be worried that this could potential neutralize your cycle. Whats worse, a lot of law school deans do talk to each other during the cycle and often bounce around names/experiences of specific applicants. If you come up in conversation, you might be out of the majority of the T14.
