I've always been highly interested in attending law school and becoming a lawyer, well I'm finally going to try and pursue it. But could anyone help me with the first steps I need to take? Do I have to have certain degrees first? Whats really needed.... Im just out of highschool so I'm totally new to this...

No specific degree is required.
Major in something useful that you enjoy + can get a high GPA in.
Get as close to a 4.0 as possible.
Kill the lsat in 3 years.

Emphasis on usefulness of your degree - it can be a good fallback or a good area to practice law

Echo of everything already stated plus try to do some cool shit like volunteering on a humanitarian trip to some 3rd world country to help save their dwendling hermit crab population. But mostly get a 4.0 GPA or something very close to it and kill the LSAT in a few years.

Reading the reviews for that - especially the one written by a YLS student - makes me want to buy it and retake lol.

Choose a degree that offers solid job prospects in the (perhaps likely) event that you decide not to become a lawyer: accounting, nursing, computer science, electrical engineering, etc. Then get as close to a 4.0 as possible.
