I was wondering if I could be admitted to part time jd program straight out of undergrad, I thought it would be a tad bit more cost affective if I could work a little while getting my jd.

It's possible but some PT schools prefer WE. Georgetown is an example that actively looks for work experience.

My PT program is a nice mix of people who are mid-career and entry level. I'm doing exactly what you're thinking - working to make law school less costly. I can't even tell you how nice it is to have a salary.

But do take note that if you're looking for firms/clerkships/etc., you're still going to be judged on your grades. It's definitely harder to work full time and pull top grades. I don't know if there's necessarily a bump from employers recognizing the difficulty, but I'll be happy (I hope) to report back after OCI next month!
