I realize that many will mention it is a foolish thing to take the February LSAT and apply, but Fall semester during my last, I will have a huge course load, and while I am almost at 170 on practice diagnostics, I feel that by February I can achieve this goal.

Onto my question........If you are a splitter and achieve a 170 or higher/172 or higher by February, will you still be a competitive applicant to regional/tier 1 schools or are the chances around ZERO? If everything else is complete before the score?

What do you consider tier one? The T-25, T-50..?

Either way, yes.

Absolutely. 170+ should get you T14, unless you have a low GPA.

Look at the LSAT medians for T1 schools. 170 is well above the median for the vast majority. I'd say average at the top 50 is probably 165ish.

How low of a GPA are you trying to compensate for?
