Did anyone get an unsolicited waiver from Texas that didn't live in Texas?

Do schools send out all waivers at the same time?

Awww... I want a Texas waiver. I solicited them for a need based waiver and this was their reply: "For consideration for need-based application fee waiver, you must demonstrate financial need, present a competitive academic record, the Law School must have a clear interest in admitting the student, and the limit on fee waivers has not been reached."

Their need-based waiver is not a joke. They want it notarized, the want a statement of why you need it, and they want to know a monthly budget of all your expenses. I'm surprised they didn't ask for a blood sample.BLUERUFiO wrote:Awww... I want a Texas waiver. Thought NYU would hit people up today, but I guess nothing so far. App is all ready to go, but 85 bucks?!
Should I wait to submit in hopes of a waiver or say byebye to 85 dollars?

For what it's worth, NYU replied to my solicitation request and noted that they would refund money to anyone who happens to get a waiver after the fact.Bajam wrote:Thought NYU would hit people up today, but I guess nothing so far. App is all ready to go, but 85 bucks?!

I guess I will wait until tomorrow, but if I don't even get an acknowledgement of my email I think I'll call. Anyone think this is a bad idea?PotenC wrote:I emailed them Thursday.

Northwestern had a button you could click to request a fee wavier on their website, although I think that ended some time in november. It granted all requests as far as I could tell. I have no idea if they sent any out through CRS.Seoulless wrote:When was the last time someone got one from Northwestern and Columbia?
I got columbia after october scores came out.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
