Reapplying next year

My cycle ended but I was surprised with a couple of decisions (GULC part-time preferred Waitlist) with my numbers 3.2/161...I have some really good softs, which I feel may have led to this. I've decided to reapply and the retake Oct 2013 LSAT.

Questions:
Should I get updated LORs or are the ones from this cycle ok?
Should I apply as early as possible (Sept 15) and ED to GULC and inform them I'm taking the October LSAT or wait until I have the new score?

Thank you.

Forget about ED and applying in general. Your only concern should be scoring 170+ on the LSAT. Once that happens, then worry about when/where/how you are going to apply.

I don't think a 170 matters as much for the PT program.

OP, the general consensus is not to apply before having a score in hand. Applying after receiving your Oct score leaves you plenty of time to apply early in the application process plus gives you the added benefit of retaking in December if things go astray.

OK, I understand LSAT is first priority.

How about my other application materials (PS, LORs)...do I need to update them for reapplication?

You dont have to update your PS, but you may as well. Im sure youve gained some insight over the past year that will help you write a better PS. You dont have to rewrite the whole thing if you dont want. Just edit it.

You dont need LORs. Esp if you think the old ones are likely good.

I dont think you should ED GULC PT. GULC is not worth sticker
