I'm just beginning the process and have found so much fantastic info on here I was hoping you may be able to help.
I'm an Australian student with a low GPA (translates to just above a 3.4) and an expectation of a 170+ LSAT.
Is my international status likely to help or harm me in the admissions process?
Are there any schools that are more international applicant friendly than others?

it basically negates your gpa (though HYS may still look at it as a negative) - so if you can hit the median at schools they will generally accept you

Even for Canadians? Or are they not considered international students?

Canadian GPAs count like American GPAs for law school apps. I think they're the only country, though.

Start thinking about how you're going to pay for it as well. You won't be able to take out loans in the US without a US citizen as your co-signer.

Why are you coming to the US to be a lawyer?
Isn't a law degree fairly cheap and still seen as a valuable asset in Aussieland?
