Top Law Schools

So I got my NYU Acceptance, and saw a little post-it on the top-right corner:

So a little background: I wrote about founding a startup in my PS, and I graduated with a degree in Engineering. Does this show that softs are actually more important than the TLS people think outside HYS/Boalt?

Also - why can't I use the img code anymore?

At NYU, it looks like they tried to give everyone a personalized note (source: the class of 2016 a/w/d thread)

NYU does this for every admit, but they are tailored to your file/background. There was some abuse of the image code going on so you need 100 posts for it to automatically show the image now.

Mine mentioned how my UG institution has prepared me well for LS. (T200 public)

William & Mary does something similar. I wrote my PS also about working at a startup & they wrote a short note at the bottom of my acceptance letter about how they loved my work accomplishments. I actually remember my W&M undergrad acceptance letter, same thing- it had a note commenting on my PS. Seems to just be a thing that a few schools do, although it amused me that W&M does it for both undergrad & law, apparently.

Sorta same here. Something like "challenging undergrad coursework."

Duke also does a short little note...my name was misspelled, haha.

Georgetown also sends small personal notes on their acceptances, and Michigan's dean wrote a quick note about something I mentioned in my Why Michigan essay on my acceptance letter.. Maybe I'm being too cynical, but to me it seems more like a tactic to make applicants think they were judged significantly on their softs rather than evidence that softs play a large role.

Try more like 2,500 personal notes...everyone who gets admitted gets a note.

well i didn't get a personalized note, so not everyone gets one.

Pretty sure all ED'ers got one.
