How much does LSAT matter?

Have a 164/165 (1st year) 169 (3rd year)...

Could take again in what would be my 5th year, and would certainly do better without the pressure (and drugs) of the first 2-3 tests. I still have a 3.25 LSAC GPA so am somewhat limited by that. But how much would, for example, a 171-173 matter vs. a 169?

I missed 3 easy questions on my 169. Hence my belief that I can do better. 164/165 were 2009. I canceled a Dec 2009 so I have enough LSAT's to where I have to addend either way.

I think if you believe that you can do better, you probably can, particularly if drugs were involved. A 173 is going to make mounds of difference compared to a 169. Even 1 more point would make a big difference, but you shouldn't retake unless you're confident you can score higher, as statistically, your chances of improving go down after around a 165.

Well yes, I obviously have some degree of self-confidence. 173 is obviously >>>> 169. But what if it's a 171 on like, my 5th try? Will that matter? Is it literally going to come down to my highest score, or at some point are schools going to say "Sweet Christ, he's taken the LSAT a whole lot, of course he's going to do better?"

Obviously I attribute my score to external factors, be it anxiety or construction (literally on my 169, right next door) or whatever the fuck. At some point does it NOT actually matter? I know what I can do. I realize of my 3.25/169 I can only improve the 169, and CAN, but do I reach a saturation point?

I'm in-state for Michigan, not that it matters at all in the least, but I'd be beyond content to have them take me Early Decision next cycle, and this cycle had I applied there, I'd have been borderline but not have gotten in, so I feel like the points matter there.

Also, shit jobs or so after undergrad/before LS. My career will not give me a benefit for Northwestern or whatever. My ceiling is roughly limited. But I can still kinda sorta rape the LSAT if I am not bound by my anxiety of having all of my eggs in the singular Law School basket.

I presume the CW is re-take. Is there anyone who thinks I shouldn't given a sufficient (aka. not full) scholarship in an SEC state I'd practice in?

Oh, and when I say drugs, I mean Adderall when I took the test, and WAY too much. To the point where it almost brought on panic attacks. I'm prescribed and have been for years. But I always assumed the more the better, yet for my scores it was always the less I took, the better I did. Of course, I'm not smart enough to extrapolate this to tests 'til matters.

But nonetheless. The LSAT is right up my alley intellectually anyway, but will a 171 with a 164/165/cancel/169 detract so much from a 170-172 that it wouldn't even really make a difference? Or is the highest score THAT important?

And not 100% sober (a little drunk) for my posts. Hence the grammatical errors and repetition.

LOL. Take it from someone with a psychopharm background....you should take 10-20 mg before going into the test, and maybe 10 more mg during. Any more than that and you'll be overstimulated and your performance will go down. (Also prescribed Addy.)

It is. Retake.

Yeah I realize this now...I took like 120 mg the first time I took it (WAY too much) like 75 the 2nd time and like 45-60 the 3rd time. Prescribed 30 a day, generally take about 15 a day. Dumb.

Jesus christ, I'm glad you didn't have a psychotic episode during your first sitting.

Having that many LSAT scores won't hurt you anywhere outside of like, HYS. Schools only have to report your highest score and therefore that is the only one they care about.
