Hi Everyone, I was thinking about trying to get into a law school (somewhere in the Northwest). I was wondering what type of score i should shoot for with my GPA and also if it would even be worth it given the crappy schools I am likely to get into. I have about a year experience in the financial services industry but am not sure if that would help my cause at all.

You can get into decent schools with that GPA and high LSAT scores. Look at the above mentioned website... that will give you a good idea of what score to aim for depending on what school(s) you would like to attend.

The harsh reality is, given the fact that law school admissions are so focused on LSAT/GPA combo, it likely will not be worth it for you to attend at all unless you do phenomenal on the LSAT (170 at a minimum).

And even then, a high 170 would be crucial to get you considered / waitlisted at top 10 schools (which TLS considers "worth it")

I thought LSN wasn't particularly helpful for splitters? Or was that reverse splitters?

I think you're thinking of Law School Predictor - their predictor can be wonky for splitters. LSN just shows you the data points of acceptances.

Get a 170+ or re-consider the whole Law School thing. Paying sticker at some TT is a good way to set yourself up for a miserable life.
