LOCI before decision?

Is sending a LOCI to a school like HLS or SLS before they've rendered a decision actually going to make a difference? Regardless of the strength of the update? I don't see that having much of a bearing on their decision but wanted to hear from TLS

I would only consider it if it has been a while since you've seen any movement AND you have something substantive to add to your resume/experience in the LOCI.

I think I remember reading an old Dean Deal blog post encouraging people to send a short email expressing continued interest (even if there was nothing else to add) if they had applied early on and hadn't heard anything for several months. Go crawl around her blog and see if you can find it.

I don't imagine it would do much good, but if she's inviting you to do it, it won't hurt you. On the other hand, I wouldn't send anything extra to HLS.
