Hi All-
I hope that maybe some of you with more experience than I could tell me a few things. I'm looking at applying to a JD/PhD program (clinical psychology) this Fall. I'll have my masters in counseling psychology, and a ton of non profit work going into the program.
My question is (for anybody who is doing or applying to a JD/PhD in any subject)
1. What are the pitfalls of dual degree programs? I've read some information, but want to know from real people with interests in the law and another subject.
2. Any good things? Is this attractive to the law programs that offer them?
3. When is the best time to apply in the cycle? I was considering taking the June LSAT (took December one this year, did okay).
Thanks in advance

Just because I know someone will ask: What's your end goal career-wise?

Re: JD/PhD
Fair question. I was originally in a doctoral program (PsyD) for psychology, but want to pursue the PhD instead so I can teach. Ideally, I would like to either work in a mental health court/drug court, practice aspects of family law with LGBT persons, or provide legal service to fellow healthcare professionals, in addition to some teaching.
