Wait, what? You put a job you had in high school on your resume / application? Is this a flame? Or were you an Olympic athlete or other world-class athlete or something? If not, nobody will care what you did in high school or when you did it unless you posted something absolutely amazing that affected your admission cycle.

I don't see what the big deal is. For someone K-JD, it makes sense to show some employment history.

Normally, it is not advisable to put high-school stuff on one's resume unless it was really spectacular. I’ve worked with professional resume editors and been involved in the interviewing process at the headquarters of one of the biggest automakers in the world, and both viewed run-of-the-mill high-school jobs and things of the sort as “unnecessary filler,” even for K-JD candidates. (The latter had a tendency to overlook applicants who used more than a couple of lines of mediocre high-school work experience on their resumes; their logic was that if an applicant hadn’t done enough in college between work and research to fill up a single page, then they weren’t proactive.)

A simple Google search will bring up many (random-and-therefore-not-so-reliable,-but-still) pages stating this same logic. (1, 2, 3, 4...)

Anyway, I honestly think that in this case less is more, but obviously it won’t hurt a strong applicant too much because you guys have already been accepted to some stellar schools with this information on your resumes.
