I currently have the option of interning for Scottish Parliament for a semester next year. I would be working for a semester and taking classes at the University of Edinburgh. I was wondering if this would count as good work experience when applying to law school or if it wouldn't matter that much. I ask because I have the option to attend other programs where my GPA would most likely be higher for the semester. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
This study abroad program is available to every UC student (above a certain gpa threshold), and possibly to others as well, so it won't make you stand out much. If it sounds interesting and fun to you, definitely do it, but it's not a Rhodes Scholarship or anything. All things considered getting A+s in an easier study abroad program will probably help with admissions more, but IMO that's a shitty reason to choose where to spend a semester/year.

And just FYI, you should try to go for a year. Never met someone who wasn't glad they studied abroad for a whole year and met lots of people who regretted only going abroad for a semester.
