Top Law Schools

How far apart in the rankings would schools be considered peer schools? Trying to negotiate scholarships and was confused by the definition of peer school. I tried the search tool, but couldn't find much info on this.

They can be similarly ranked schools or schools within the same market. Ultimately, if you're trying to negotiate I'd use whatever leverage you've got. Worst-case scenario they just say no.

This illustrates peer schools, but that doesn't mean you can't negotiate across peers. I'd still tell Cornell about my full rides to Vandy and UCLA, for example.

More or less, yes. Theres grey though.

additional caveat that peer schools in the same market as the school you are negotiating with are going to pull more weight.

except NYU/CLS don't negotiate with offers from one another from what I hear.
