I don't know if the I am accurately grouping the schools based on my chances. Any comments are welcome. Should I apply to more likelies and less targets?

Where do you want to practice law? Where do you have ties to?

This is the relevant question. For lower law schools, region is almost all that matters. Stay close to home.

I am from outside Boston. BC I guess is about a 50/50 or 40/60. I would like to go there. Unfortunately, the drop off between BC and Northeastern is dramatic and I'd like to go somewhere better than Northeastern (unless they pay my way).

My real question was does that list look accurate and realistic?

Sure.

Here are some resources that might help:

http://www.myLSN.info/
lawschoolnumbers.com

These two websites will be about as much help as anyone here at telling you what your reaches/targets should be. HTH

It seems realistic in terms of chances of getting in but.....
If you want to practice in Boston cut out a ton of dead weight.
Northeastern would be better for the Boston market than say: Wisconsin, Tulane, Temple, American etc.

in the employment profiles it will show you where graduates got jobs, outside the t-14 or so it gets pretty regional. Especially since Boston isn't anywhere near the size market of NYC or Chicago. Going to a "better" school won't get you a job in your market unless it places in that market which most of those schools don't. Basically I'd say outside of your reaches only apply to schools in markets you want to work in.

OP, LexLeon is about to go on a rant about how numbers don't matter. Don't listen to him; statistical data is not on his side. Apply to your reach schools but understand why they are reaches.

numbers say you are probably right about the 50/50 shot at BC (alot of WL there too). Your list is very interesting though. It seems you want to be on a coast, regardless of which. I would say you have a healthy looking list, and without a better understanding of what your looking for, the graph of people with your numbers from previous years is the best I can give you to better comprehend your chances. Hopefully this cycle turns out to be a very generous one though for everyone :).
