The only way this would make sense is if schools wanted to fill their classes early, and with schools having to give so much scholly money right now just to maintain their medians, it seems like it would be a bad time for this strategy.

I'd also say that with the shrinking pool of 170+ test takers (and no reversal of this trend in sight) your admissions prospects will only improve with time as the T14 compete furiously with each other to gobble up all the vanishing 170+s to hold their medians.

If you plan to defer wtf are you doing applying?

dont apply now. your softs will be much stronger in 2 years. plus TFA has a tendency of messing with career plans (in a good way of course). join TFA with no regrets and come back in 2 years and see how you still feel about law school.
